A Word From MisFit Theatre YYC's Executive

We at MisFit Theatre YYC are dedicated to creating community theatre experiences that benefit all. We strive to create a safe, empowering, entertaining, and educational environment for all. While we are a new company our team has had a lot of experience with making great art, BUT we are learning all the time. We apologize to anyone and everyone who had a less than amazing experience at our recent auditions and/or callbacks for Guys and Dolls, and we want to fix it. We have made a change to the production team that we believe will benefit all involved.

If you were turned down for a role, and are still interested in being part of the show, we would ask that you submit a new audition video with a monologue, and best song showcasing your brilliance, and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Please visit www.misfittheatreyyc.ca/auditions

Sincerest thanks, MisFit Theatre YYC Executive

Misfit Theatre YYC acknowledges Treaty 7 Territory as our home, which encompasses the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy, including the Kainai, Siksika, and Piikani Nations, as well as the Tsuu T'ina (Dene) Nation and the Stoney/Nakoda Nation, comprising the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley Nations, along with the Métis Nation Region 3. We recognize and honor the stewardship of these Indigenous peoples over the land on which we operate.

Acknowledgment is merely the first step toward meaningful support; as we move forward, we aspire to become better allies, facilitators, and advocates for our Indigenous neighbors. We respect, champion, and uplift underrepresented voices in all jobs. Our stages and stories aim to reflect the beauty,  diversity, and nuance of our city. We want to work with artists from every walk of life; we want to see talent we haven’t seen before; we want to see you and your art.
